Dr. Brad Belsher, Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Senior Associate
Dr. Belsher has over 10 years of clinical experience and is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in the stage of Virginia. He has completed extensive clinical training on traumatic stress, anxiety disorders, depression, couples psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) . Dr. Belsher has also completed the Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 training.
He has worked within a variety of settings, including: community mental health centers, integrated mental health hospitals, specialty care settings, and in several Department of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals. Dr. Belsher is actively involved in clinical research evaluating tele-mental approaches to healthcare and has published numerous articles.
Dr. Belsher’s practice is grounded in evidence-based principles from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and motivational enhancement strategies. His warm, authentic nature helps him develop strong relationships with his clients. He helps individuals develop a deeper understanding of their challenges and teaches them effective strategies to reach their goals.
